About Us

Established in 1995 by Mary and Liz, Aspirations Active is an approved independent provider of daytime and evening support for people with a learning difficulty.

We support people with a wide range of needs and put an emphasis on supporting people who will benefit most from:

  • Spending time with people they like and who like them (Being part of a caring community)
  • Unwinding in a way that makes sense to them (High Quality Relaxation/Recreation)
  • Having the opportunities to see that they can have a positive impact on themselves and those around them (Being Productive).

We work in a person-centred way by finding out how a person wants to live and coming up with a plan to make it happen. The plans are flexible and will change if they are not working.

Our plans always include:

  • Time shared with friends
  • Intensive interaction
  • Sensory motor development

Our centre in Hove has the facilities, resources and environment to support all of our members. Our support team helps our users achieve their goals and enjoy the benefits of identity, structure and a peer group within a consistent and secure environment.

Members will also enjoy: a soft-room, a sensory-room, a therapy room, computers and internet access as well as a range of specialist equipment designed to support personal development, fun and sharing experiences with others. We also have fully trained tutors who offer dance, yoga and music therapy for those who want to take part.

Our new Shop in Worthing will add a new dimension to our service, an opportunity for our users to play an active part in a valuable and useful community-based service. Aspirations Active Worthing will provide tangible benefits for its members, neighbours and the local community.

Aspirations Active is an approved local authority provider.

How we can help you...

Opportunities are structured to motivate individuals and where possible include a ‘sharing experience’ with both peers and the community as a whole.
